Meet Mary Helen Bowers
A professional ballerina by training, Mary Helen danced with New York City Ballet for 10 years before graduating from Columbia University and founding Ballet Beautiful. She personally trained Natalie Portman for her Academy Award winning role in Black Swan along with countless other A-list celebrities, supermodels & millions around the world, delivering authentic, results-driven ballet-inspired training.

I have these in both colors and I have yet to find the tights of their equal. They are buttery soft, durable, compressive and in summation–PERFECT. I wear them footed, ankle length, capri length and knee length. They are versatile and lovely. I have worn both the S/M and L/XL and I love the stretch. I had been wearing L/XL (I’m a street size XS/S but am on their taller side and my ‘ballet’ size is usually M or L. I have been wearing the L/XL tights from BB and love them but I recently started wearing the S/M for more compression. Initially I was a little worried about the sizing and was afraid they’d be too tight, but my doubts were in vain as they fit perfectly. They are ‘tighter’ but the tights have the right amount of stretch and there is no ripping or tearing. They are comfortable and flattering. Even though the L/XL is technically too big for me, it is still flattering and compressive. Please never stop making these tights.

These are the best tights ever. I have in black and white. They are compressive to the right degree, buttery soft and extremely durable. No rips, tears etc. I prefer these tights over every other brand I’ve worn (Capezio, Bloch, Jule etc). I will only ever buy these tights.

The opening in the bottom of the foot is ideal. It’s secure when used as footed tights but large enough to convert easily to footless.
