A professional ballerina by training, Mary Helen danced with New York City Ballet for 10 years before graduating from Columbia University and founding Ballet Beautiful. She personally trained Natalie Portman for her Academy Award winning role in Black Swan along with countless other A-list celebrities, supermodels & millions around the world, delivering authentic, results-driven ballet-inspired training.

I rushed home the moment I received my delivery notification of this leotard – all the new styles lately have been such strong additions to an already fantastic dancewear collection and this new lace cap-sleeved style is no exception! I originally bought it in my usual size Medium in black and found that it was a bit tighter than I preferred, especially across the arms (the lace isn’t stretchy) so I made sure to size up one for the lavender version and it fits just as well as I dreamed. The color is so flattering and the lace is really sturdy – I did an arm workout immediately after putting it on and found that once you get the correct size in this style (an L in my case), the leotard fits perfectly and doesn’t hinder any movement.
This style is quickly becoming one of my favorite pieces in my BB dancewear collection – I felt so beautiful and glamorous wearing it, and motivated to fit in a workout despite fatigue at the end of the workday because of how special it is. If you’ve recently reached a new BB goal for yourself and are looking for a way to celebrate, I’d say this leotard makes an excellent choice! Highly recommended – my compliments to Mary Helen and the BB team for their impeccable taste and vision in all the latest styles released so far!
