Meet Mary Helen Bowers
A professional ballerina by training, Mary Helen danced with New York City Ballet for 10 years before graduating from Columbia University and founding Ballet Beautiful. She personally trained Natalie Portman for her Academy Award winning role in Black Swan along with countless other A-list celebrities, supermodels & millions around the world, delivering authentic, results-driven ballet-inspired training.

This workout type is what I was looking for for a long long time! I found M.H. Bowers via YouTube videos and her workout with a Victoria Secret model. I like to do my workouts at home combining strength training along barre or ballet type of workouts. My girly, ballerina persona can come out when I do this workout (I’m not a ballet dancer, I wish!;))This workout video is perfect to feel feminine and elegant while working on my flexibility/resistance in the process. The movements look easy, but believe me, you will feel it! After the first half hour in I’m sweaty and a bit out of breath. I love the soft look, while still building muscle and stamina. I like the classical music in the background and Mary Helen explaining posture and position during the session. I have some back and herniated disc/neck issues so technique is also very important to me to not hurt myself. I’m planning to buy other workout series soon! Thank you so much, Mary Helen! My favourite BB DVD
“I own all of the Ballet Beautiful (BB) dvds along with various BB streaming workouts and yet the Prima dvd is easily in my top 3. The exercise segments cover all of the main areas of the body plus there are several cardio sections as well which I love for strengthening the heart. The two mat segments are extremely effective – they each pack a punch in a relatively short time and incorporate some of my favourite BB exercises including bridge, swan arms, and leg work. I find myself reaching for this workout again and again- especially when I’m short on time but still want to be challenged.”
